About
veer (v.) 1580s, "shift, change direction, turn" (earliest of the wind; 1610s of a ship, "alter the course of by turning away from the wind"), from French virer "to turn" (12c.), a word of uncertain origin.
forward (adj.) from Old English foreweard "fore, forward; early; in front, inclined to the front," also "superior".
Welcome to Veering Forward!
By day, I’m a product manager at Big Company working on implementing AI-augmented solutions.
Outside of work, I’m endlessly curious, have lots of interests, and read about almost any topic.
I created Veering Forward to share my learnings on AI - the incredible things it can do, as well as pitfalls and ethical concerns. I’ll talk about how I personally use (and not use) AI, and explore its possibilities and challenges.
I’ll also examine how best to navigate the changes that AI and other technology will bring into our lives.
Let’s have some fun!
